TIME BANDIT can be managed from the safety of the cockpit.  Mainsail – halyard (replaced 2022), main sheet, three reef lines, self-tacking Solent  genoa, Code 0, Code D, spinnaker with quick release shackles and storm jib. Mast and boom - white painted aluminium by Marechal. Complete new standing rigging of 1x19 Stainless steel in 2002. Harken genoa, mainsail and Code 0 tracks.  Antal mast track with fibre-bearing batten cars. Boom preventers.  

WINCHES - Time Bandit has Lewmar winches throughout. One, ST50 electric winch at starboard helm for the mainsail halyard, headsail sheets and mainsail luff reef lines. The winch on port salon top is for headsail sheets and mainsail leach reef lines. In the cockpit, one manual winch each side for Solent furling, mainsail traveller, dagger boards, dinghy raising and lowering, boom preventer and barber hauler control.  At the mast, there is one manual winch for headsail halyards.  A rechargeable eWincher2, electric winch handle powers all the manual winches if some extra “muscle” is required.

ANCHORING - Main Anchor - 75 metres of chain with a 33kg Spade anchor has held us in the worst conditions. Time Bandit has two (unused) secondary backup anchors, an Excell and a Fortress FX37, both in aluminium with 15 metres of chain and fifty metres of 3-strand nylon rode. 

A Quick windlass, is operated by handheld wireless controller with foot switches as a backup.
